Off Road Elmers 1-9

North 34.14.305' by West 117.51.500' 1491 feet

In this photograph the Stop Elmer Fudd journalists have turned to the left about 80 or 90 degrees to look down the ramp into the canyon floor where Off Road Elmers actually start to putter around in the dirt back and forth.

Here we see some Elmers offloading some three-wheeled tricycles onto the canyon floor.

To the right of this photograph about a quarter of a mile further down the canyon is East Fork Road. To the left about a half a mile or maybe another mile is West Fork Road which leads to Cogswell Dam, a road that is closed to Elmer and his motorized vehicles, allowing only normal people on bicycles or on foot.

Behind the photographer is Highway 39, a number of Elmers thinking about sneaking up behind him to commit some bizarre and unexpected act, as is typical of Elmers (it's been our experience from direct observation that Elmer Fudd is capable of anything no matter how freakish, no matter how bizarre, and no matter how totally unexpected. There's no predicting what particular behaviorial trait an Elmer will engage in outside of the general traits enumerated, outlined, and described on the Stop Elmer Fudd web site. But one thing is certain: It takes courage to turn your backs on them for any length of time.)

Incidentally, there's good hiking and camping in the mountains behind old Elmer's puttering ground. The floor of the canyon where Elmer is allowed to do pretty much whatever he wants to has long been scrubbed clean of any life, but normal people who manage to make it across this half mile or so of Elmer-infested wasteland can find fresh water and good hiking and camping in the mountains back there.

It's also extremely rare to find Hunting Elmer Fudds back there since getting into the area involves actual effort, something Hunting Elmers try to avoid.
