While gun-nut Elmers are very bad, a close second are the off-road Elmers.
These are people who drive the largest pickup they can find, put snow
tires on them -- the largest they can find -- and take to the hills, the
forest, and the desert to destroy as much of it as they can before it
gets too dark for them to feel comfortable out in the hills.
These are also the Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV) owers, the dirt bikers,
the dune buggy drivers, the snow mobilers, the jet skiers, and the other
frocking morons who take their gas hogging toys off paved roads, into
Nature, or over America's waterways.
This series of photographs which follows show Elmer Fudd in his natural
habitat: an Off Road Vehicle area specifically set aside for Elmers and
their irresponsible toys. Yes, it's good that the U. S. Forest Service
has created a pen for Elmers where they can screw up an environment
that has already been so badly screwed up that it doesn't hurt to kill
it a little more every day.
These photographs were taken in the San Gabriel Canyon North of Azusa,
California, early one morning before the Elmers started showing up in
large numbers (that is, before the hazards of being run over, maimed,
or killed by an Elmer rose to unacceptable levels.
The GPS coordinates for the location of this observation is approximately:
However much of the observation that took place to bring you this recording of what Off Road Elmers are like, what their behaviors are, and what motivates them, was acquired from observations taken across the highway up a hillside where observing is much safer than being down directly among these subhuman morons.
There's a short description about each of these photographs that show what Off Road Elmer Fudds look like, where they clump, and other valuable information.
